Dedication

This website is dedicated to my family, who have always stood by me, and who have given me more than anything I could have ever wished for. Their love, guidance, and support have made me who I am today and have given me the ability to write.

Ramblings

I've been reading a lot of good books recently. In an attempt to keep my brain still functioning, I've been scouring the shelves of Barnes & Noble, searching for that perfect book. While my hunt for the perfect book has gone nowhere, I've stumbled across a number of really very brilliant novels. After reading Chabon and Hosseini, I moved to Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. Great book, great angsty writing.

I am currently reading The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. He's a great writer, but he seems a bit pretentious. It's obvious that he's a good writer, a master crafter of words, but I believe he is too obsessed with lyrical innovation and beauty, to the point of pretention. And while the story is amazing and the characters are intimately created, this aspect of his writing distances the reader from his story. This book, however, is still definitely a MUST-READ.

I've decided to use this site to write some short stories, and perhaps I'll work on my novel on here. And since only a few people have access to this site, it'll be a perfect vehicle to share my work. Stay tuned for more!
